monologue...mono log

Jake is taking his ap English exam today and turning in the work that he missed out on doing while he had mono. Monday was Modern World History and we're still waiting to hear back from the head of the math department on a date for his precalculus exam. Then his summer can officially begin.

Oh, wait...summer reading assignments. Oh, well. Does your school district have them? I have mixed feelings, many of which cater to my inner child and scream, "HOMEWORK OVER THE SUMMER?! You've got to be kidding!" I do understand the point of it, but hate the time it takes out of this chunk of freedom called summer vacation.
