do you go back?
I have often wondered if, when people leave a comment on a post, they go back to see if there is a response. So, when I respond, do they ever see it? I'm sure some do and some don't, but I wonder which way the scale tips.

Just to let you know I always check back if I leave a comment although not that many people do reply.
If I know the blogger replies in the comments, I go back. If I know they don't I usually don't check unless there's quite a few comments after mine.
If one of the other commenters or I have said something that might be work replying too, then I go check. If its a long list of "That's so pretty!" then no.
OK, I went ahead and got the google account so you can at least know my name.
I never left a comment before my "anonymous Marylander" comment the other day but I was eagerly anticipating whether you wrote back.
Thanks for your insights on the areas LYSs. I have had some great interactions with the owner of Eleganza, down in Frederick, who's name is Christi. So nice, so helpful as I am such a newbie. I am about to take my first class from her in a few weeks so I will tell you how that goes.
I wasn't as impressed with Knittin' Chicks as they have never seemed to have what I need in stock. And Dahlia really pushed me to take her beginner scarf class when I had already accomplished those skills and wanted something more exciting. Oh, well. Sometimes the fit has to be just right.
Woolwinders in Gaithersburg is worth the drive if you go for their Sunday in the Salon free programs. That is where I learned to knit in the round and to do cables, for free. Super nice owner there too.
Maybe we will bump into each other some day in the Safeway, Superfresh or Food Lion. :-)
Almost never. I can count the number of times on one hand that I go back and check. I should add more comments rss feeds but I haven't.
Yes, I usually check back, since I don't comment to often it isn't that hard. Nice to be noticed! So your husband thinks someone has to know you before they would want to read your blog? Between the good, interesting writing and the cute kids I keep coming back! :)
My commenting style is much like DD and Leigh. The thing I hate the most is when I find a new blog, comment and then forget to blogine it. Of course, I will forget what it's called and how I got there and always wonder if they responded. I'm tortured that way.

Oh, and knitting mummy--you have a beautiful family! I can't remember if I said that in a comment on your blog today when I was reading, but I meant to, if I didn't.
I try and check, although sometimes it takes longer than I intend it to. I'm never sure if I should respond in the comments on my own blog, because I'm not sure if they'll check back. Sometimes I already feel like I'm talking to myself and that just makes it seem moreso.
Sometimes I go back and check but lately I'm not doing so well with doing that.
