Chicks!

Starting on May 5th, and continuing into the 6th, we had seven chicks hatch. This morning Abie, Ben and I took four of them into Emma's classroom for a visit. Her class hatched ducklings on the same day so her teacher asked if we would take the chicks in so the kids could compare and contrast. Emma was so excited to be asked to sit up front with me (and hold a chick) while we talked about them and the kids asked questions. We'll take them back the week after next so the kids can see them, again, and hold them. They need to take permission slips home first to be sure it's ok with their parents to hold the chicks and ducklings.
